The form reaches the front desk of our Meyerland office, not an answering service. Someone on our team calls you back to agree a time that works, and to ask a couple of questions about what is bothering you so the right amount of time is set aside.
If you send the form outside office hours, it will be picked up when the office next opens. Nothing is booked automatically, so you will not show up for a slot you did not agree to.

What to bring to your first visit
Nothing complicated, but these four things save time at the desk:

- Your dental insurance card, if you have one
- A list of any medications you take, including blood thinners
- Recent X-rays, if another dentist has taken them in the last year or so

What a first visit involves
A first appointment is mostly looking and listening. Dr. Chiranjeevi Tummala examines your teeth and gums, checks for cavities and plaque, takes the X-rays she needs, and asks what brought you in and what you want to fix.
You leave knowing what is going on, what she would do about it and in what order. That is true whether you came in for a checkup or for something bigger. Treatment is not started at the first visit unless you are in pain and want it dealt with. If nerves are the reason you have put this off, ask about nitrous oxide or oral sedation when you book, so the appointment can be set up for it rather than squeezed in.
Knowing the cost before anything starts
You get the cost of any recommended treatment in writing before it begins, along with what it is for and what happens if you decide against it. No treatment gets started on the assumption that you already agreed to it.

How soon can I get an appointment?
It depends on what you need and how full the book is. Pain, swelling and broken teeth get priority and we try to fit those in quickly, so call rather than using the form. Routine checkups and cleanings are scheduled further out. Saturday slots go first.
Do I have to fill out the form, or can I just call?
Either works. The form is easier if you are booking a routine visit or you are reading this outside office hours. Calling us at 713-723-7200 is faster if something is wrong right now or you have questions before you commit to a time.
Am I booked as soon as I send the form?
No. The form starts the conversation, it does not reserve a slot. Someone calls you back to agree a time, so nothing is confirmed until you have spoken to the office.
Are you taking new patients?

Can I bring my children to the same appointment?
Ask when you book. Family appointments close together are often possible, and it is much easier to arrange in advance than on the day.
