We book Saturday appointments, and Tuesday mornings start early. Our full hours are further down this page.

What happens after you send the form

The form reaches the front desk of our Meyerland office, not an answering service. Someone on our team calls you back to agree a time that works, and to ask a couple of questions about what is bothering you so the right amount of time is set aside.

If you send the form outside office hours, it will be picked up when the office next opens. Nothing is booked automatically, so you will not show up for a slot you did not agree to.

If your tooth cannot wait that long, call instead.

What you can book an appointment for

You do not need to know the name of the treatment to book a dental appointment in Meyerland. Say what is bothering you and our team will work out what the visit needs to cover. These are the services patients ask for most often.

Routine care and checkups

A checkup and exam, teeth cleaning, X-rays, fillings for cavities, and sealants. This is the appointment most people are due for, and it is where cavities and early gum problems get caught while they are still small and cheap to fix.

We see children as well as adults, so a family can book visits close together rather than making two trips.

Bigger treatments and procedures

The three treatments Dr. Tummala is asked about most are a single dental implant to replace one missing tooth, clear aligners to straighten your smile without fixed braces, and laser treatment for gum disease.

We also handle crowns, bridges, dentures, tooth extractions, non-surgical root canals and emergency care. A consultation comes first for any of these, so you know the plan and the cost before anything starts.

If you are in pain right now

Do not use the form. Call 713-723-7200 and describe what happened, and we will tell you whether you need to be seen today.

A cracked tooth, a filling that has come out, swelling in the jaw or a tooth knocked loose all count as urgent. Our page on emergency dental care explains what needs same-day attention and what can safely wait until the next business day.

What to bring to your first visit

Nothing complicated, but these four things save time at the desk:

  • A photo ID
  • Your dental insurance card, if you have one
  • A list of any medications you take, including blood thinners
  • Recent X-rays, if another dentist has taken them in the last year or so

If you have had a bad experience at a dentist before, say so when you call. It changes how the appointment is planned, and there is no version of this where that counts against you.

What a first visit involves

A first appointment is mostly looking and listening. Dr. Chiranjeevi Tummala examines your teeth and gums, checks for cavities and plaque, takes the X-rays she needs, and asks what brought you in and what you want to fix.

You leave knowing what is going on, what she would do about it and in what order. That is true whether you came in for a checkup or for something bigger. Treatment is not started at the first visit unless you are in pain and want it dealt with. Our first visit page walks through it in more detail, and scheduling covers how appointments and reminders work.

If nerves are the reason you have put this off, ask about nitrous oxide or oral sedation when you book, so the appointment can be set up for it rather than squeezed in.

Knowing the cost before anything starts

You get the cost of any recommended treatment in writing before it begins, along with what it is for and what happens if you decide against it. No treatment gets started on the assumption that you already agreed to it.

Our financial policy sets out how payment works, and insurance information covers what to check with your own plan before you come in. Bring questions about cost to the first visit. It is a normal thing to ask about and a better conversation to have early than halfway through.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on what you need and how full the book is. Pain, swelling and broken teeth get priority and we try to fit those in quickly, so call rather than using the form. Routine checkups and cleanings are scheduled further out. Saturday slots go first.

Either works. The form is easier if you are booking a routine visit or you are reading this outside office hours. Calling us at 713-723-7200 is faster if something is wrong right now or you have questions before you commit to a time.

No. The form starts the conversation, it does not reserve a slot. Someone calls you back to agree a time, so nothing is confirmed until you have spoken to the office.

Yes. Say it is your first visit when you book, so the appointment is given enough time for an examination, X-rays and a proper conversation about what you want to fix.

Ask when you book. Family appointments close together are often possible, and it is much easier to arrange in advance than on the day.

Call the office as early as you can at 713-723-7200. Letting us know early frees the slot for someone who is waiting, and it means we can get you rebooked sooner.

Book the visit you have been putting off

Most people who call about a dental appointment in Meyerland have been meaning to for a while. Nobody at this office is going to give you a hard time about how long it has been.
