If you live in Meyerland, you do not need to drive across Houston for dental care. Meyerland Family Dentistry is on North Braeswood Boulevard, in the middle of the neighborhood, with parking on site.
Dr. Chiranjeevi Tummala provides general, implant and laser dentistry for families across Meyerland and the surrounding southwest Houston area. Same practice, same dentist, visit after visit.

What We Offer Meyerland Patients
We are a general practice, so most of what a family needs is handled here without being referred elsewhere:
- Checkups and cleanings for adults and children
- Fillings and crowns for damaged teeth
- Single dental implants to replace a missing tooth
- Clear aligners as an alternative to fixed braces
- Laser gum disease treatment and ongoing maintenance
- Dentures and partials
- Emergency care when something breaks or starts hurting
Why a Neighborhood Practice Makes a Difference
Dental treatment is rarely one appointment. Implants take months. Aligners mean regular check-ins. Gum disease is managed over years rather than fixed once.
The most common reason people leave treatment unfinished is not cost. It is that the visits become inconvenient and get postponed until the plan falls apart. Being ten minutes from home changes that.
It also means we get to know your mouth over time. When we can compare this year’s gum measurements with last year’s, we spot changes early. That is worth more than any single visit.
New to the Practice?
Your first visit is straightforward. Dr. Tummala examines your teeth, gums and bite, takes any images needed, and explains what she finds in plain language. If work is needed you get the plan and the cost before you decide anything.
If it has been years since your last visit, that is common and it is not a problem. We will look at where things stand and work through it in a sensible order rather than presenting you with one enormous plan.
You can read about Dr. Tummala or take the office tour before you come in.
Serving Southwest Houston Beyond Meyerland
While most of our patients are local, we also see people from Memorial, Alief, Pasadena, Pearland and Fresno, usually for implant or laser gum treatment. If you are travelling further to see us, tell us when you book and we will try to group your treatment into fewer visits.
The Meyerland Practice, in Practical Terms
Suite 201 at 4455 North Braeswood Boulevard has been a dental office for years. Parking is on site, so you are not circling for a space before an appointment.
For most Meyerland addresses this is a five to ten minute drive. From Bellaire it is a straight run down the 610 loop. From Westbury and Willow Meadows you are coming north on South Braeswood or Chimney Rock. Braeswood Place patients are the closest of anyone.
We mention the geography because it decides whether treatment gets finished. A plan that needs six visits over eight months works when the office is nearby and is less likely to be followed through on when it is not.
What Treatment Usually Looks Like Here
Most patients start with an examination and a cleaning, then settle into a schedule that matches their risk. Some people genuinely do fine on two visits a year. Patients with a history of gum disease usually need to be seen every three to four months, and we will explain why rather than simply booking it.
When work is needed, we deal with the foundation first. Active decay and gum inflammation come before anything cosmetic, because treatment built on an unhealthy mouth does not last. That occasionally means telling someone their whitening or straightening has to wait a few weeks. It is a short delay that protects the result.
For bigger treatment such as implants, we set out the whole sequence at the start: what happens at each stage, roughly how long the healing takes, and how many visits to plan for. Nobody should be halfway through an implant before they find out there are three more appointments needed.
Anxious Patients are Welcome
A large number of adults avoid the dentist because of something that happened years ago. If that is you, say so when you book. It is not an awkward thing to tell us and it changes how we plan your visit.
In practice that means allowing more time so nothing is rushed, explaining each step before it happens, and stopping when you need a break. For a first visit we can keep it to a look and a conversation, with no treatment at all, so you can see how the place feels before committing to anything.
Nobody here is going to comment on how long it has been. We see it every week.
Common Reasons Meyerland Patients Come to See Us
The reasons people first walk through the door tend to fall into a few groups.
Some have moved into the neighborhood and simply need a local dentist. Some have a specific problem, most often a broken tooth, a lost filling or pain that has become hard to ignore. A good number come because they have been missing a tooth for a while and have finally decided to do something about the gap.
Others come because their gums have been bleeding for months and somebody told them that is not normal. It is not, and it is the group we would most like to see sooner, because early gum disease is straightforward to reverse and late gum disease is not.
And a steady number arrive after several years away from any dentist, usually a bit apprehensive about what they will be told. That visit if often not as bad as expected.
