Choosing a dentist is mostly about trust. You want to know who will be looking after your teeth, what the office is like before you walk into it, and whether you will get a straight answer when something needs to be addressed.
This page is where to start. Meet Dr. Chiranjeevi Tummala, see the office, and find out how we work.
Dr. Chiranjeevi Tummala, DDS
Dr. Tummala provides general, implant and laser dentistry at our office on North Braeswood Boulevard in Meyerland. She plans and carries out treatment herself, which means the person who examines you is the person who treats you.
Patients tell us the thing they value is being given the full picture. What the problem is, what the options are, what happens if it waits, and what each choice costs. Then the decision is yours.

What We Treat
We are a general dental practice, which means most of what you need is handled in one place. The treatments patients ask about most include:
- Dental implants, including replacing a single missing tooth
- Clear aligners for straightening teeth without fixed braces
- Laser treatment for gum disease
- Crowns, bridges and fillings
- Dentures and partials
- Cleanings and preventive care
- Emergency dental care
How We Work
A few things that are consistent here, whoever you are and whatever you come in for:
- You get the plan in writing. Treatment and cost, before you agree to anything.
- We do not sell you work you do not need. If something can wait and watch, we will say so.
- We fix the foundation first. Gum health and decay come before cosmetic work.
- You can ask questions. As many as you want, including about cost.
- Anxiety is normal. Tell us when you book and we will plan your visit around it.
If you have avoided the dentist for years, you are not the first and nobody here will make you feel bad about it. Book the visit and we will work through it in a sensible order.
Who We Look After
We treat patients of all ages from Meyerland and the surrounding southwest Houston neighborhoods, including Bellaire, Braeswood, Westbury and Willow Meadows, across the 77096, 77035 and 77025 ZIP codes. Patients also travel to us from Memorial, Alief, Pasadena, Pearland and Fresno.
Families often book together, which keeps it to one trip. Tell us who is coming when you call and we will arrange the appointments so they work.
For guidance between visits, our dental health section and laser dentistry pages cover the questions we are asked most often.
What to Expect at Your First Appointment
New patients often ask what the first visit involves, so here it is in order.
We start by talking. Dr. Tummala asks what brought you in, what you have noticed, whether anything hurts, and what your dental history looks like. She also asks about your general health and any medications, because both change what she watches for.
Then the examination. She checks each tooth, measures the gum around them, looks at how your teeth meet when you bite, and examines the soft tissue of your mouth. Images are taken if they are needed to see something that cannot be seen directly, not as a matter of routine.
Afterwards she talks you through what she found. If nothing needs addressing, she says so and you book your next checkup. If something does, you get the options, what happens if you leave it, and the cost of each path in writing. You do not have to decide in the chair.
Our Approach to Cost
Money is the part most practices are vague about, so we will be direct. You will not get a price over the phone for any treatment. Any figure quoted that way is a guess, and guesses are how people end up with bills they did not expect.
What you will get is a written plan after the examination, showing what is recommended and what each part costs. If that is more than you can take on right now, tell us. We would rather sequence treatment over a longer period, starting with what actually needs doing first, than have you decline everything and disappear.
Dr. Tummala treats patients who want to fix things properly. If that is you, you will find the conversation here straightforward.
Between Your Visits
Most of what keeps teeth healthy happens at home. Brushing twice a day with a soft brush, flossing between your teeth daily, and not ignoring small changes.
Call us between visits if a tooth becomes sensitive to hot or cold and stays that way, if your gums bleed for more than a couple of weeks, if a filling or crown comes loose, if you chip a tooth, or if you notice a sore in your mouth that has not healed in two weeks. None of these get better by waiting and several get considerably more expensive.
If you are not sure whether something is worth calling about, call. We would rather hear from you early.
Why Patients Stay with Us
Most of our patients arrive through word of mouth in the neighborhood, which tells you something about how the practice works. There is no marketing trick behind it. People stay because the experience is consistent.
The same dentist sees you each time, so you are not re-explaining your history to somebody new. Your records build up year on year, which is what makes it possible to spot a gum pocket deepening or a filling starting to fail before either becomes a real problem. That continuity is the single most underrated part of dental care.
You will also find the conversation the same every visit. What we found, what it means, what your options are, and what each one costs. No pressure to decide on the spot, and no treatment plan appearing that you were never told about.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to become a patient?
No. Call the office or request an appointment online and we will book you in.
What happens at a first visit?
Dr. Tummala examines your teeth, gums and bite, takes any images that are needed, and talks you through what she finds. You leave knowing what, if anything, needs doing and what it costs.
Can the whole family be seen here?
Yes. We treat adults and children. Let us know when you book and we will group the appointments.
I am nervous about the dentist. What can you do?
Tell us when you book. We will allow more time, explain each step before it happens, and stop when you need us to. Being told up front makes a real difference to how we plan the visit.
